IFS Network and its Members

The International Federation of Settlements and Neighborhood Centers (IFS) is a world-wide network of Non Government Organisations who are working locally for social justice. View the information and links below to find out more about IFS, the Australian network of IFS Members, including details of the Local Community Services Association (LCSA), who will be hosting the IFS Conference in Sydney.

The International Federation of Settlements and Neighborhood Centers (IFS) is a global movement of more than 11,000 member associations that include multi-purpose, community-based organizations across the world. IFS believes in empowering the people who work for social justice by connecting, inspiring and supporting an inclusive global community.

Currently, there are IFS Members in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America & North America.

If you are part of a local neighbourhood or community centre that is a member of a state or national body with IFS Membership, then you are also considered to be a member of the IFS Network.


ANHCA Logo

The Australian Neighbourhood Houses and Centres Association (ANHCA), is the national peak body for neighbourhood houses & centres in Australia. ANHCA represents approximately 1,000 neighbourhood houses, community houses, learning centres, neighbourhood centres and community centres nationally, which are member organisations of the following state and territory peak/representative bodies.

The Local Community Services Association (LCSA) will be hosting the IFS Conference in Sydney, as well as playing a key role in the organisation and coordination of this exciting event.

LCSA is a membership organisation representing the diverse interests of locally governed not-for-profit organisations in the New South Wales (NSW). Our purpose is to provide collaborative leadership through connecting and resourcing members and communities to promote social justice principles and public policy.
